Following a challenging trip to Margate, we return to The Saffrons this Saturday to host another high-flying Isthmian League South East Division team, Ramsgate. Despite their unbeaten run, we’re determined to use our home advantage and put in a strong performance to secure points.

Our opponents come into this match riding high in the league, currently occupying second place with 28 points from 10 games, boasting an impressive nine wins and just one draw. They sit seven points behind the leaders, Beckenham Town, but hold a valuable five games in hand. Ramsgate’s only dropped points came from a draw against fellow Sussex team Burgess Hill, showcasing the strength of our region’s football. Their striker, Joe Taylor, is certainly one to watch, with 10 league goals under his belt already, including a brace against Burgess Hill and a hat-trick against Deal Town.

For our part, we’re coming off a tough spell, with three consecutive losses and key players absent. The Margate match highlighted our challenges, as we were without Harvey Greig, Leon Greig, and Marcin Ruda, while Dan Hull remains sidelined with a broken foot. Despite these setbacks, our young squad remains resolute, displaying resilience and the desire to compete.

As we kick off a demanding November with seven fixtures, including an exciting Sussex Senior Cup clash against Isthmian Premier Division side Horsham FC on the 19th, we’ll be relying on our depth and team spirit. Our squad’s togetherness gives us confidence that we can rise above this tough stretch and get back to winning ways.
