Easter Monday saw the second Eastbourne Derby of the season under glorious sunshine. And a busy looking Oval saw United fighting to stay out of the relegation zone and the Town trying to secure a second place finish.
Tom Vickers scored the first goal with a strike from just outside the penalty area in the 11th minute and Ex-Town keeper Jordan Hawkins overstretched and saw the ball roll straight past him.
There were a few tense moments as United had a break but was too easy for Jason Tibble, and the Town defence were rock solid. Perry and Capon had a few chances on goal.
A cross from the side line to George Taggart who volleyed a great shot, again from outside the area, saw the Town 2 nil up in the 26th minute. For the next twenty minutes Town had chances which were stopped by the United defence.

As the second half went under way, United had a free kick and a simple kick by Kane Penn brought the score to 1–2.
Again both the Town and United had chances and United seemed to be stronger than the first half until the 79th minute when Dan Perry scored a header to bring the score to 1–3 to the Town. A score line which stayed till the final whistle blew.
At the time of writing, Town now sit at 2nd place in the table, whilst United are rock bottom at 20th.
Next up is our last game of the season again Chichester City, whom we beat 2-1 away last year. Congratulations to Chichester City as League champions and their promotion to the next level of the football pyramid.
