Two goals from Simon Johnson and Zak Attwood have put Town into the Royal Ulster Rifles Cup final, for the first time in 5 Years. Lancing, currently the league leaders, seemed to look a weak side during the first half with Town dominating the Lancing half of the pitch.
A corner from Simon Johnson in the 38th minute curled into the goal which deflected off Lancing keeper Matt Evans as he tried to punch the ball out.
The second half saw Lancing turn up the pace and the game looked even, a few chances for both sides, but Town keeper Chris Winterton had a very good safe pair of hands this evening. On the 90th minute Zak Attwood slotted a goal to secure the win.
Final is pencilled to be Wednesday 18th March, but is still yet to be confirmed by the Sussex FA.
The other semi final between Peacehaven & Telscombe and AFC Uckfield Town is to be played on 5th March.
