We headed to Seaford with confidence after four straight league game victories but it was a slow start for both sides as the tricky conditions on The Crouch pitch made it difficult to settle into any real rhythm in the opening 15 minutes.
Seaford Town took full advantage of their home conditions, breaking the deadlock in the 20th minute. A powerful header from close range forced an incredible save from our goalkeeper Finn Harvey, but our defence was caught flat-footed, allowing Seaford’s number 9 to convert the rebound and put them 1-0 up.
Despite the early setback, we found our response. Harvey Galt delivered a perfect pass to Noah Titterton-Manos, who slotted a side-footed effort past the Seaford goalkeeper. The ball squirmed under the keeper’s feet to draw us level, even though Seaford had dominated much of the play.
Seaford, undeterred by our equaliser, kept pressing and won the majority of midfield duels. Their number 9 looked dangerous, even drawing penalty appeals after a challenge from Connor Lynch. But the referee waved away the loud protests, keeping the game on even terms.
Theo Aiguobasimwin then provided a moment of brilliance, driving forward from halfway after a clever one-two with Titterton-Manos. He was brought down in the box for a penalty, but disappointment followed as his spot-kick flew over the bar. Seaford celebrated as if they’d scored, but the miss seemed to galvanize us.
Second Half Turnaround
Manager Ryan Reid made three key changes at the break, and whatever was said in the dressing room worked wonders. Darcy Poole’s introduction on the left wing added immediate spark, and our pressure paid off when Harvey Galt’s corner was met by a diving header from Fraser Price, putting us 2-1 up just 10 minutes into the second half.
However, Seaford struck back. After a blocked long-range shot from Galt, the hosts broke quickly, and their number 9 unleashed a shot that took an awkward bounce, leaving Finn Harvey with no chance as it looped over him to make it 2-2.
Our response was emphatic. Darcy Poole switched the play to Titterton-Manos, who controlled the ball beautifully before unleashing a stunning strike into the top left corner. That goal put us back in front, and we didn’t look back. Titterton-Manos completed his hat-trick—his second in as many games—by calmly burying a left-footed effort after some neat build-up play.
Fraser Price added a fifth, rising high to head home from a looping long throw by Dom Parish, putting the result beyond doubt. Seaford had a late chance to reduce the deficit from the penalty spot, but Finn Harvey made a superb save down to his right, preserving our three-goal cushion.
A dominant second-half display ensured a 5-2 victory, keeping our unbeaten record intact with five league wins from five. Another impressive performance from the lads.
Up the Town!
