Eastbourne Town get set to welcome Midhurst & Easebourne to The Saffrons this Saturday. It’s been a November to forget for Town having not one in three games and our only draw was a goalless one away to Horsham YMCA. After a truly exceptional September, this recent slump in form has seen Town miss out on the chance to shoot up the table by failing to make the most of the games in hand and league leaders Crowborough dropping points.

Town have been plagued by injuries to key players such as Tom Vickers and Leon Grieg which has certainly had an impact in recent games. However, with the return of Chris Winterton on Tuesday night, along with two exceptional saves, and other injured personnel set to return, December could prove to be a month of redemption for the men in Yellow and Blue.

The same can’t be said for our opponents who have had a November to remember. Four wins from four for The Stags and five straight wins in the league have seen them move above Town to sixth place. Lewis Rustell has been leading the charge for The Satgs by hitting the net seven times in November bringing his total for the season to fourteen.

With Midhurst flying and a wounded Town looking to redeem themselves in-front of their supporters. This one is nicely poised.
