As the season draws to a thrilling climax, Eastbourne Town Football Club is gearing up for a pivotal showdown against Horsham YMCA in our last home game of the campaign. The stakes couldn’t be higher for Town, with a victory needed to seal our place in the playoffs for promotion after Newhaven defeated sixth placed Haywards Heath earlier in the week.

Currently sitting in third place, Town are poised to make a final push towards securing that coveted top-five finish in the league. A win on home turf against Horsham YMCA would secure three crucial points and guarantee Town’s presence in the playoffs, where dreams of promotion could become a reality.

Horsham YMCA, meanwhile, will not make it easy for Town, as they too have ambitions of ending their season on a high note to build momentum ahead of their Sussex Principal RUR Charity Cup Final against Haywards Heath in May.

The Men from Gorings Mead have proved to be a thorn in the side of Jude and his squad in recent meetings. Two nil-nil’s in Horsham and a rather convincing away performance at The Saffrons in the Senior Sussex Senior Cup back in September knocked Town out of the competition early.

The final home league game of the season promises to be a spectacle filled with drama and excitement. Jude’s squad has its destiny in their own hands and the players are determined to achieve this season’s objective of a top-five finish.
