Town Host Hassocks In The Playoff Semi-Final

687 came to watch the 100th Eastbourne Derby between Town and United.

Eastbourne Town Football Club will compete in the 2023/24 playoffs after finishing 2nd in the league. With the highest league position in the playoff places, we will host both the Semi-Final and Final should we make it through on Tuesday night.
It’s been 10 years since we were relegated from the Isthmian (Ryman) South East Division. Our final fixture was on the 26th of April 2024 at The Saffrons against Whitstable Town.
Town are unbeaten in 15 league games with 14 wins. We finished with 16 points more than last season and hold the best defensive record in the league with just 31 goals conceded. BUT. This is knockout football and The Town will need everything and everyone behind them.
Our opponents, Hassocks, have had a superb season, finishing it in style with a 5-1 thumping over fellow playoff rivals Newhaven. The Robins have also been a thorn in the side of Town in recent meetings. The visitors have won three of the last five meetings between the two clubs with Town’s win coming back in December 2022.
What a night we have coming up at The Saffrons! It is a week which promises to be one of the biggest in both club’s recent history. The winner will book a place in the Playoff Final on Sunday 5th April.
