We are back at The Saffrons! Five games to go, the battle for the top four is extremely tight with multiple teams occupying the spot in the last few weeks including Town. Currently, just six points separate fourth and tenth!

We welcome AFC Varndeanians to The Saffrons this Saturday. The last time we shared a pitch there was last minute drama. Tyler Capon grabbed our winner in the 93rd minute to give us all three points on a bitterly cold night at the Withdean Stadium.

Let’s hope Town doesn’t leave it so late this time!

Here are a couple of questions and answers from the interview:

Q: What is it about the club that has made you stay so long?
A: Honestly, this is just the best club in Eastbourne by miles, the atmosphere is just incredible. From the crowd to the tea bar, everyone is just so friendly and it’s the same whether you play 10 games or 475 games

Q: Your first game was on the 18th October 2003 what do you remember
about that day?
A: I remember Dave Winterton shouting at me as he was the manager back then. It was a long time ago now mind I remember it was Chichester away I believe we lost 4-1.
