Greg Nessling
Former Hastings United & Eastbourne Borough Goalkeeper who rejoined the club in the summer of 2014. Experienced goalkeeper, who is great shot stopper.

Callum Sherriff
Much sought after defender, signed in the summer of 2015. Having started the previous season at Ringmer he ended it at Ryman South Peachaven, as a youngster at Brighton & Hove Albion. Dominant defender who is very comfortable on the ball.

Dan Rogers
Re-signed for the club in the summer of 2015, having spent a couple of seasons at Ringmer, the exception being a short spell at Horsham in Ryman South at the end of season 2015. Powerful player, lovely left foot who can play Centre half or Left back.

Matt Darby
In his third season at the club, having joined the club from Ryman South Hastings United in the summer of 2014. Hard working and skilful midfielder who has also had a brief at Eastbourne Borough.

Dan Bolwell
Second spell at the club having re Joined the club in the summer of 2015 from Peacehaven. Started last season at Ringmer. At Brighton & HA as a youngster. Hardworking and skilful player who can play full back or centre midfield, lovely left foot who can pick a pass.

Ethan Strevett
Ethan is another to return to the Saffrons. Has struggled with an ongoing injury which has kept him out of action for the past 18 months, but is now fully fit and back playing. As a youngster he came through at Eastbourne Borough and was highly rated by Tommy Widdrington playing in Borough’s National League South side. A Central Midfielder who has a good range of passing and adds bite to that area of the pitch.

Jason Taylor
Another to make the switch from the Oval in the summer of 2015. Can play wide or central in attacking areas. Finished leading scorer in the previous two seasons at Eastbourne United. Has impressed in pre season scoring 5 goals. Very quick, skilful and direct player.

Sam Willett
Finished last season at Ryman South Hastings United, having begun the season at Westfield. Another versatile player who can slot in at full back but a midfielder by trade. Missed all of pre season due to injury and signed for Town in August 2015.

Aaron Capon
2015/16 player of year, Aaron played a key part in last seasons title challenge and is a fans favourite. Returned to the club in September 2015 from rivals Eastbourne United after coming through the youth ranks at the Saffrons. After leaving Town he had a few seasons at AFC Uckfield Town. Very quick and direct wide player or full back.

Harry Ducatel
Joined the club from Conference South side Eastbourne Borough in 2016. Harry was an important part of Borough’s Academy Side, a very good footballer who can operate in either full back position or wide midfield.

Layton Schaff
Returned to the Saffrons in 2016 for a third spell. Having started last season at Peacehaven. Schaff is a versatile attacking player who can play in Midfield or Attack, Previous clubs include Lewes & East Grinstead.

Drew Greenall
Drew joins Town having plied his trade at AFC Uckfield last season where he netted 20 goals. An experienced county league forward who has scored goals season after season wherever he has played.

Evan Archibald
Joined from 2015/16 title rivals Horsham. Locally Eastbourne based Archibald who also had a spell at Hastings United, is a proven goal scorer and despite missing the early part of last season still bagged himself 18 goals on the way to Hornets becoming SCFL champions last season


John Lambert
(Manger)

Arrived at the Saffrons in the January 2014 following a short spell out of the game after leaving Sidley United in the summer of 2013.  As a player had a distinguished career in the higher levels of non league, at Hastings Town and United, Tonbridge Angels, the latter years of his playing career were spent at Sidley United and Westfield. His managerial career began at Westfield Reserves before moving onto manage Hastings United Reserves. Following a short spell as caretaker manager in 2008 he got the 1st team job on a full time basis in the summer of that year, before he was controversially sacked in January 2009 with the club sitting in mid-table in the Ryman Premier league. After a a few months out of the game he was appointed as Sidley United Manager in the summer of 2009 where he led them to promotion from division 2 at the first attempt. With 12 new players coming into the club during the summer of 2014, an immediate return back to the Ryman league was the priority, however after leading the table at Christmas a 4th placed finish was the final outcome, however the RUR charity was in the Trophy cabinet after defeated Loxwood 2-1 at Lancing in March 2015. The summer of 2015 has seen more rebuilding, to have another tilt at promotion back to Ryman League.

Jamie Podmore (Assistant Manager)
Arrived at Town in January 2014 with Lambert following his appointment as manager.  Both had previously worked together at Sidley United before there demise in the summer of 2013. Following a long county league playing career at Westfield, Rye United and Sidley United, a persistent back injury curtailed this. In 2011/12 took up the role of Joint Manager at Bexhill United following a successful spell in charge of Sidley United Reserves. Spent the first part of the 2014/15  season as head coach at Langney Wanderers.

Peter Heritage
(Coach)

Arrived at Town in January 2014.  A local legend in these parts and the club joker, who comes off a successful professional playing career which included spells at Gillingham, Doncaster and Hereford United. Non league wise there were spells at Woking, Margate, Hythe, Bexhill United, Sidley United and Hastings Town where he was a prolific goalscorer. Was coach at Sidley United from 2010 – 2013.
