Squad News: Scrafton signs

The club is pleased to announce the signing of Tyler Scrafton. Tyler Left the club 3 years ago for a short spell at Hastings United Before a prolific goal scoring season at Peacehaven last season. Tyler has netted 5 goals in our friendlies so far. Welcome back to the Saffrons Tyler.

Fixture News: Horsham at home

Tomorrow evening see’s our first home friendly of the season with Horsham, who currently play in the Isthmian Premier Division.

Kick off at the Saffrons is at 7:45pm

FA Cup: Extra Preliminary Round Draw (Update)

At 1pm today, the Football Association held the draw for the FA Cup Extra Preliminary and Preliminary rounds.

Eastbourne Town are drawn away to Bexhill United which is to be played Friday 9th August, at The Saffrons. The winners of this draw will go on to play away to the winners between Sutton Common and Molesey.

Fixture News: Whitehawk away

Tomorrow evening see’s our last away pre-season friendly against Whitehawk. The Hawks were relegated from the Isthmian Premier to the South East Division along with fellow rivals Burgess Hill.

Last season we played Whitehawk at the Terrapura Ground in the Sussex Senior Cup and won 3 – 0.

Transport to the ground is by Brighton and Hove Buses service 12 from Eastbourne, alight and Marine Gate and walk up Wilson Avenue or Services 1 or 21 from Churchill Square to the Whitehawk Bus garage and a short walk from there.

Fixture News: Hailsham Town Away.

Tomorrow evening see’s our third Pre Season friendly with fellow rivals Hailsham Town at The Beaconsfield. Hailsham Town are in the Southern Combination Division One league.

Last season we played them in the second round of the Peter Bentley Cup, beating them 4 – 2. Known as the Stringers, they were formed in 1885 and came 8th last season.

Public transport to the Beaconsfield is well served by the 51, 54 and 98 bus from Eastbourne Town Centre via Polegate and the 1X bus via Langney and Stone Cross. Alight at South Road walk down Diplocks Way, a footpath on the right takes you to the ground.

Pier Pressure: Crowdfunder

The vocal fans of Eastbourne Town FC – ‘Pier Pressure’ are fundraising to build a new stand at The Saffrons they can call home without encroaching on other fans enjoyment of the game. We have been given an incredibly reasonable quote from a local scaffolder and all monies raised will go towards the building of the stand.

Fixture News: Rusthall Away

This Saturday see’s our second pre-season fixture with Rusthall based just outside Tunbridge Wells in Kent. Last season they were relelgated from the Premier Division of the Southern Counties East League into Division One, two years after promotion.

Rusthall were formed in 1899 and are currently in the 120th year and entered the Kent County league in 1983 after spending their time in the Tunbridge Wells league.

Public transport to Rusthall is well served by the 281 bus from Tunbridge Wells Railway station, buses run every 15 minutes with a journey time of approximately 15 minutes.

Town will kick off the new season with an away trip to newly promoted Steyning Town on August 3rd followed by a home game with AFC Uckfield on Tuesday August 6th.

Fixture News: Westfield Away

Saturday kicks off our 2019/20 campaign with a pre-season friendly with Westfield. Until last season season, Westfield, were playing in Division Two of the Southern Combination league before being transferred into the Mid-Sussex football league.

Westfield joined the Sussex County league, Division Three, in 1997 having transferred from the East Sussex league and the following season were promoted into Division Two. At the end of the 2014/15 season, they were relegated into Division Two of the renamed Southern Combination League due to ground issues.

Last time Town played Westfield in a pre-season friendly, the town won 7-0.

Public transport is quite limited to the ground. Stagecoach run a service every two hours from Hastings Railway station. Service 2 to Tenterden with the last service returning back to Hastings Railway station around 6:10pm.

Squad News: Turner is back

The club is pleased to announce that Jack Turner has signed for the 2019/20 season. Jack is a couple of weeks away from resuming full training following a minor knee operation in the summer which had cut short last season. We hope Jack recovers fully and once fit will be a great asset to the club once again.

Jack was one of a few signings last season that joined the Town from Crowborough Athletic, scoring over 9 goals in over 40 appearances with the Crows.

Club News: New home kit revealed

The morning the club have released this seasons new home kit. Supplied by the Italian sportswear company Macron. The away kit will still be the light blue from last season.

The kit will be available to buy soon via the Macronstore website, which is currently being set up. More details will be released very soon.

Squad News: Return of the Zac

The club is delighted to announce that Zac Attwood has signed ahead of the 2019/20 season. The former Hastings United, Margate and Eastbourne Borough forward joined the Town from Sevenoaks Town in October last year.

Zac scored on his debut game against Horsham YMCA and went on to score 13 league goals in 19 league starts. Zac hopes to score more next season.

Squad News: Dan Tear signs for new season.

The club is delighted to announce that Dan Tear has signed ahead of the 2019/20 season. Dan joined Town from Crowborough Athletic prior to last season and was an important part of the side that lost just 1 of 26 league games. Welcome back Dan.
